TOUR Itinerary

Arrival in Tangier. Pick-up from your accommodation, airport, or port. Explore Tangier, including the Hercules Caves and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Free time for lunch. Drive inland via Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, stopping for panoramic views. Arrive in Chefchaouen, overnight in a hotel.

Morning free to explore the blue-washed alleys of Chefchaouen. Drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with mosaics, columns, and arches. Continue to Meknes to visit Bab al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani, the Royal Stables, granaries, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Drive to Fes for overnight in a Riad.

Morning guided city tour in Fes. Stops include Royal Palace Gate, Borj Sud fortress for panoramic views, and Mellah (Jewish Quarter). Visit the Ceramic Village & School to see traditional craftsmanship. Walking tour of the medina, including Al Attarine Madrasa, University and Mosque of Al Quaraouiyine, and Chouara Tanneries. Return to your Riad for overnight.

Drive south via Imouzzer to Ifrane, “Switzerland of Morocco,” with alpine-style houses and snow in winter. Visit Cedar Forest, home to Barbary macaques. Lunch stop in Midelt. Cross Tizi n’Talghamt Pass and follow the scenic Ziz Valley. Arrive at Merzouga Sahara, switch to camels for a desert ride, pause for sunset atop a dune, and continue to a desert camp. Overnight at the camp with Berber drumming around the fire.

After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region—sand dunes, seasonal lake, mines, fossil areas, and palm oases. Visit an old kohl (eyeliner) mine. Meet nomad families for tea in their tents. Continue to Khamlia village for Gnawa music and dance. Free time for lunch. Stroll in a palm grove, then visit Merzouga Lake, often home to flamingos. Return to Merzouga for dinner and overnight.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. Drive to Rissani, a historic trading hub. Visit a fossilized marble workshop in Erfoud. Continue through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to Todra Gorges, with towering red cliffs perfect for hiking and photography. Free time for lunch. Continue to Dades Valley, stopping at Monkey Fingers rock formations and a scenic viewpoint. Overnight in a hotel in Dades Valley.

Drive to Kelaat M’Gouna to visit the Valley of Roses, known for the annual Rose Festival. Continue through Skoura palm groves and visit Ouarzazate film studios. Tour the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site featured in films and series. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photos and lunch. Arrive in Marrakech and drop-off at your accommodation. End of the 7-day tour.
