TOUR Itinerary

Your 3-day Merzouga Desert adventure begins with pickup from Errachidia Airport or your accommodation. From there, we travel south through scenic desert landscapes toward the golden dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and relax as you prepare for the desert experience ahead.

Flight Options:
Domestic flights from Marrakech are available three days a week with Ryanair, arriving between morning and afternoon. Flights from Casablanca operate daily with Royal Air Maroc, usually arriving around midnight. The itinerary can be adjusted according to your flight schedule.

After breakfast, the day is dedicated to discovering the wonders of the Merzouga Desert and the vast Erg Chebbi dunes. Explore the region’s fascinating landscapes, including small mines, fossil sites, and seasonal desert lakes. Begin with an off-road trip to an old kohl mine before meeting nomadic families in their traditional tents to learn about their lifestyle while sharing a cup of Berber tea.

Continue to the village of Khamlia, where you will enjoy the soulful rhythms of Gnaoua music performed by locals with roots from Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After lunch in a nearby restaurant, take a peaceful walk through the palm groves and visit the wild lake of Merzouga, often called the lake of flamingos for its seasonal birdlife.

In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek through the golden dunes, stopping atop a high dune to admire the breathtaking sunset. Arrive at your luxury desert camp and spend an enchanting night under a starlit sky, enjoying Berber drumming and traditional dinner around the campfire.

Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. You may return to the village by camel or 4×4 vehicle. The journey continues toward Rissani, the former capital of the Tafilalet region, famous for its vibrant traditional market held on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Next, visit Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and local craftsmanship, then travel north through the scenic Ziz Valley, making stops for panoramic views and photos. The tour concludes with drop-off at Errachidia Airport or your accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable Sahara experience
