TOUR Itinerary

Arrival in Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Pick-up from the airport or your accommodation. Begin the day with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco, perched on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy free time for lunch, then explore the Corniche of Casablanca and take in the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Overnight stay in a hotel in Casablanca.

After breakfast, depart Casablanca and drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved mosaics, arches, and ancient pillars. Continue to Meknes, the Ismaili imperial city, and visit key landmarks including Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the Royal Stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Drive onward to Fes for an overnight stay in a riad.

Drive south through the Middle Atlas to Ifrane, famous for its alpine-style architecture and cool climate, often called the Switzerland of Morocco. Continue to the Cedar Forest to see the Barbary macaques and feed them if you wish. Stop in Midelt for lunch before driving through the scenic Ziz Valley and Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass to reach Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek across the dunes, pausing atop a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Arrive at a luxury desert camp, blending traditional nomad tents with modern comforts. Enjoy Berber drum music around the campfire and overnight in the desert.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. Return by camel to Merzouga and meet your driver. Depart the desert to visit Rissani, a historic trading town, and stroll through its lively souk. Continue to Erfoud to explore fossil workshops, then drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges, a spectacular red cliff canyon ideal for walking and photography. Continue to Dades Valley, stopping at the “Monkey Fingers” rock formations and viewpoints overlooking the valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, visit Kalaa Magouna and the Roses Valley, famous for its rose products and annual festival in May. Drive through the palm groves of Skoura to reach Ouarzazate, known as the Gate to the Desert, and visit the Atlas Studios used in many famous films. Continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and iconic filming location. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, stopping for lunch and photos along the way. Arrive in Marrakech for drop-off at the airport or your accommodation, marking the end of your 5-day Morocco tour.
