TOUR Itinerary

Your 3-day Merzouga Desert adventure begins with pickup from Errachidia Airport or your accommodation. Travel south through scenic landscapes to reach the golden dunes of Merzouga. Upon arrival, check in and relax at your accommodation. Overnight in Merzouga.

After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Merzouga Desert and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Discover sand dunes, a seasonal wild lake, fossil sites, small mines, and lush oases ideal for light outdoor activities.

Start with an off-road drive to an ancient kohl mine, then visit nomadic families in their traditional tents and learn about their lifestyle over a cup of Berber tea. Continue to Khamlia village to enjoy Gnaoua music and dance, performed by locals with roots from Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Free time for lunch in a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, stroll through a palm grove and visit the wild Merzouga Lake, often called the flamingos’ lake. Later, ride camels across the dunes, stopping atop a high dune to admire the sunset. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, enjoy Berber drumming around the campfire under a star-filled sky, then have dinner and overnight at the camp.

Wake early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast and return to Merzouga to meet your driver. Travel west, stopping at scenic viewpoints and cafés along the way before reaching Ouarzazate for free time and lunch.

After lunch, continue to the historic ksar of Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site featured in films such as Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, as well as the series Game of Thrones. Cross the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass through the High Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech. Transfer to your airport or accommodation, marking the end of your desert tour.
