TOUR Itinerary

Arrival in Tangier. Pick-up from your accommodation, airport, or port. Explore Tangier, including Hercules Caves and Cape Spartel, where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. Free time for lunch. Drive inland to Chefchaouen via Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, stopping for panoramic views. Overnight in a Riad in Chefchaouen.

Morning free to wander the blue alleys of Chefchaouen. Drive to the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for mosaics, columns, and arches. Continue about 30 km to Meknes, the Ismaili capital, to visit Bab al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani, the Royal Stables and granaries, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Continue to Fes for overnight in a riad.

Drive south via Imouzzer to Ifrane, famed for alpine-style chalets and cool climate. Visit Cedar Forest near Azrou, home to Barbary macaques, with optional feeding and short walk. Lunch stop in Midelt. Cross the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass and follow the scenic Ziz Valley. Arrive in Merzouga Sahara in the late afternoon. Camel ride across the dunes to watch sunset atop a high dune. Continue to your desert camp for overnight with Berber drumming under the stars.

Early sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, leave the desert for Rissani, a historic trading hub with a lively souk. Visit a fossilized marble workshop in Erfoud. Drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering red cliffs. Free time to explore and lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Dades Valley, stopping at the Monkey Fingers rock formations and a scenic viewpoint. Overnight in a Riad.

Drive to Kelaat M’Gouna to explore the Valley of Roses, known for its Rose Festival in May and local rose-based products. Continue through the Skoura palm groves to visit Kasbah Amridil. Arrive in Ouarzazate for a tour of film studios. Visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in famous films and TV series. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with stops for lunch and photos. Arrive in Marrakech and drop-off at your riad. End of the 5-day tour.
